The proposed Al Wakrah Stadium is located to the west of Al Wakrah Town, approximately15km South of Doha city centre. It is bounded by Al Wukair road on north, Doha Expressway on south west side and proposed utility corridor to the east side. The stadium has a gross seating capacity of 46,036 spectators.
This audit specifically relates to the scheme during tournament mode. During tournament mode, different layers of transport strategies are required and will be primarily based on the requirements of different constituent groups e.g. VIPs, FIFA Referee's and Match Officials, Media, Taxis and General Spectators.
This master plan for tournament mode has been designed to satisfy the operational, logistical, security, media/broadcasters and other user groups which have a significant impact on the network.
