DCE were appointed by EHAF Consulting Engineers to conduct the necessary traffic and transportation studies required by the Authorities in Riyadh. The project consisted of a Traffic Impact Study (TIS) for the proposed Mixed Use Development, ‘The Avenues Riyadh’ which will be located approximately 24km north of the centre of Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The overall development will consist of a 3 storey retail mall and five towers; one office tower, two 5 star luxury hotel towers, one 5 star convention hotel tower and a mixed use hotel / medical tower (clinic).
The report was compiled to determine the extent of the traffic that is generated by the development and outline the distribution to and from the site and to see if the development can be accommodated within the existing and the planned road network or if additional improvements to the road network were necessary as a direct result of the developments.
