DCE were appointed by Leighton Contracting Qatar and Al Jaber Engineering JV to undertake numerous preliminary design (Stage 2), detailed design (Stage 3) and pre-opening audits (Stage 4) on Contract 3 as part of the Orbital Expressway programme.
This project involves the construction of 47km of freeway from Salwa Road to North Relief Road and includes seven different grade-separate interchanges with cross roads, collectors-distributors, truck lanes, overpass and underpass structures, retaining walls, pedestrian and bicycle paths, traffic signs, ITS, landscape and hardscape and art scape, street lighting, all related infrastructures, etc.
As part of the Orbital Expressway Beneficial Use opening detailed design (Stage 3) and pre-opening (Stage 4) audits were carried out. As part of the Orbital Expressway permanent works preliminary design (Stage 2), detailed design (Stage 3) audits were carried out.
