DCE were appointed by CICO Consulting Engineers to conduct a TIS (Traffic Impact Study) for the Commercial Development at Airport Road, Doha, Qatar. The proposed G+2 development comprises of car showroom, commercial showroom and offices. There are total of 385 parking spaces available on‐site. Following TIS guidelines developed by the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning (MMUP), traffic was generated, distributed and assigned to the road network. Parking spaces are found to be adequate. A detailed development plan review has been done to check for access width, parking layout, internal/ external vehicle and pedestrian circulation, sight distance, road safety, drop off/ pick up and service vehicle provisions. Levels of Service (LOS) at selected junctions and links within the study area will be analysed to identify the impact of proposed development on the existing intersection. If required, mitigation measures will be proposed to improve LOS.
