DCE were appointed by Premier Inn Hotels LLC to conduct a TIS (Traffic Impact Study) for Premier Inn Hotel in Education City, Doha, Qatar. The development comprises of 219 bed room units, Gymnasium, Restaurant and Cafeteria. There are total of 100 parking spaces available on‐site. Following TIS guidelines developed by the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning (MMUP), traffic was generated, distributed and assigned to the road network. Parking spaces are found to be adequate. A detailed development plan review process has been done to check for access width, parking layout, internal/ external vehicle and pedestrian circulation, sight distance, road safety, drop off/ pick up and service vehicle provisions. Levels of Service (LOS) at selected junctions and links within the study area were analysed to check the impact of the proposed development on the surrounding development.
